Hi, I'm Sabra.

I'm a writer, editor, marketer, wife, friend and mom. And I wanna talk about all of it with you. Honestly. So, let's do this.

The Importance of Trust

The Importance of Trust

Good editorial teams can't survive without trust.

It's essential.

Each member: writer, graphic designer, editor and publisher, has a unique skill set.

If you trust each member of that team, you can allow them to do their thing without inhibition or over-direction.

If you don't trust your team, you'll try to over-compensate by over-directing. When qualified, capable people get over-directed, the waters get muddied. The product gets diluted. No one wins.

The best feeling in the world is not when your team members execute your project exactly how you want it to be executed. It's when a trusted member of your team blows you away with a story, a design package or a concept you never saw coming, or never thought possible.

So, first, make sure you trust your team members to do their thing. Then let them go do it.
